Camping Trip Pt. 1
Last weekend we FINALLY got to go camping... sadly, I think it's been about 2 yrs since the last time. We found this awesome spot outside of Estes, and had perfect weather (aside from a wind storm the first night that almost had the pop-up blowing over!!) The leaves were fickle; some were done turning, some were just starting, and some hadn't even started to turn yet! Weird.

We finally made it up to the mountains this weekend. We decided to scope out a campsite to use in a couple weeks- woo woo!! Thought we'd play around Estes Park for a bit too. It was all about Lexi yesterday :)

She loves this playground, so we stopped and grilled hot dogs while she played.

She did stop to pose for a few shots for me down by the stream. These were taken before she fell in!

And here's when she got tired of posing for me...

Labor Day Weekend Pt 2
The kittens are getting so big. Here's Smokey-

Our little panther- with such a fierce sounding name... Blackie...

Niko, named after who we *think* is his father...

Niko and Smokey.
I'll have to get some shots of the calico, Zeba. She wasn't playing in the bushes with the other three.
Happy Friday everyone!

Labor Day Weekend Pt1
I snapped a few miscellaneous shots over the weekend. It was a very fun weekend, filled with good food, family and friends.
The Butterfly Bush lives up to its name :)
This spider definitely labored over Labor Day!
And of course, making homemade ice cream on the deck with Grampa. Reminds me of my younger days, making homemade ice cream on the deck with Nonnie and Poppie at the lake!
Speaking of lakes, Lexi's friend invited us to go jet skiing with them. It was a blast! We had a great time. This shot is post-swimming, the kiddos were starving but happy :)
We have some gorgeous volunteer hollyhocks in the back yard that just started coming up a couple years ago. They're this beautiful pale yellow, so delicate looking, but they stand up to our winds and storms.
Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! Kitten pics to come tomorrow.

Tiny Dancer
Lexi started dance last week, and LOVES it! She's taking a combo class of ballet and tap. I'm trying to walk the line between being a good parent taking photos and an obtrusive one taking photos... so here's the best I could come up with last night :) These are taken thru the viewing window, across the room, in the mirror!
