Springtime in the Country-Pt 1

We spent the day at the Gromelski farm yesterday. They have 2 little babies and another due any day. We had a great time!

This is Dauntless, the little colt from the last post. He is a sweetie and really hit it off with Lexi!

This is the new little filly. She is 3 days old in these pics. She is a fiesty little thing and I'm totally stuck on her!

Lexi liked her as well~ and she liked Lexi!

The horses get spring fever too, and it is so cute to watch the babies buck and hop around. They kick their legs up and revel in the warmth!

Springtime in the Country-Pt 2

Here is the beautiful 2 year old I got to snap a few pics of. She is so sweet and is just gorgeous.

And here's Dauntless again. He is a couple weeks old now. Look at that face!!

Spring is in the Air

Ah.... Warmer weather, sunshine, blizzards, baby animals...

This little guy was less than 24 hours old when we got to see him. Isn't he adorable?!

Peek-a-boo!

Here I am!
Meeting Lexi:
He is a sweetie. They're so cute when they're unsteady and curious and hungry!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Snow, Snow and More Snow

Well it snowed and snowed all weekend. It would stop for a bit, then start again. We didn't get all that much, only about 3-4 inches I'd say. But it is cold!! We did venture out a bit for some fresh frigid air yesterday.

Check out the snowflakes stuck in Lexi's eyelashes!

Here is Sony with her trusty kong ball...

And here is Lexi playing with our foster dog. They were chasing each other up and down the driveway...

I'm ready for spring!!

Horses Horses Horses

Lexi is all about horses. All horses, all the time. And unicorns. And Pegasuses... Pegasi? Not sure. She wants a real one (horse, that is) desperately, but at this time there is no funding for that so we "borrow" our friend's horses. Kari and I took riding lessons there when we were little, and I hope to continue the tradition with Lexi once the weather gets a bit warmer. In the mean time, Lexi brought the horses some Christmas goodies.

This one was really appreciative and thanked Lexi by giving her a head nudge. She is pregnant, so we'll get to see another little one this spring.

New Year, Better Blogging?

Well, I think it is safe to say that I wasn't the most consistent blogger last year... I started off with good intentions, and then posting kind of fell by the wayside. So, I am going to be better about it this year!

We had a great Christmas. Kari and Drew came home for the holidays, and we all had a great time with them. It has only been a few months since we saw them last, but it was too long.

Lexi had her Christmas dance performance, and had a great time! She is in ballet and tap, and LOVES it.

Here is Lexi in her Christmas dress- this dress was actually hand-made by my mom's mom, Lexi's Great Grandmother, for Kari when she was little. It is a beautiful dress!

Here's to the new year - Happy 2010 everyone!
