Just Like Riding A Bike~

First, there was a BBQ at church yesterday, and Lexi got her face painted. What's better than that!

Then we went to Wal-mart and got her a new bike helmet, which came with new elbow pads and new knee pads. She was all decked out.

And ready to learn! No training wheels anymore!!!

Well we're still working on it, but she's almost there. Woo woo!!

Wordless Thursday

I'm feeling the drain of life this week, and have been kinda uninspired... SO- I'm going to take a page out of Sarah's book and go for a "wordless" post... Starting now :)

I survived, she thrived :)

We went a little early to school so I could take pics, of course! Lexi was very excited, as you can see.

This little girl is in her class, and they started chatting and comparing their leak-proof water bottles.
In about 30 seconds, Lexi had her talked into playing "Unicorn". I think they were sleeping unicorns, at this point...

Lexi and I before the flood :)

And here she is lined up to go inside the school. This is when the dam broke, and I was very thankful it was sunny outside and I "needed" my sunglasses on!

She had a great first day, and second day, and is looking forward to her third day today. She loves everything about school! YAY!!!

Growing UP

Everybody's growing up, it seems...

The babies are now about 5 weeks old...

More like terrible two :)

Into everything!

But they still sleep like babies, too.

Tomorrow is the first day of school for my other baby... well, not so much a baby anymore. Just ask her :)

The Last Present

Lexi got one more present... And I'm not sure who was more excited- Lexi about getting it, or Grampa about giving it! He found a smokin' deal on a trampoline, so we all went in on it and got it for her. Here's how it started:
Then she thought she'd practice the limbo under the frame... And yes, it is dark outside while we're setting it up... Because some things just have to be done regardless of how dark it is getting, or how tired you are, or how many mosquitos are out :)

So here she is the next day - in the daylight - jumping around and being a monkey.

She is having SO much fun! Her goal now is to see how fast we can get home after work to jump on the tramp!

Good idea, Grampa!!

The New 'Do

This was totally spur of the moment... Lexi had vascillated between cutting her hair and letting it keep growing, but the latest I'd heard was that she wanted to see how long it could get. Then when we walked into Wal-mart, she saw the salon and decided she wanted to get it cut. So...

The Before shot:

The During shots:
Overall, I think we cut off about 8 inches!

And the finished product:

You should see all the curl she has in the back now- it's really cute!

She likes it a lot- much easier to manage, and less tangles!! She got her Big Girl School Haircut :)
