My Baby's 5 Today!

She woke up this morning and asked me how much heavier she was today than yesterday~ Got a birthday balloon from Grandpa and pancakes for breakfast from Grandma- her favorite! Seems like yesterday I was bringing her home from the hospital.

Well Kari is due in tomorrow- on the road now, I think! After today, it is go go go until the big date!!! We are so excited and so busy! I'll try to post next week but not promising anything, lol. Have a great weekend!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

At least something good is coming from all this rain... Everything is SOOO green! It's beautiful here; sometimes I think we're back in Iowa with all the green around. Check out this post-storm picture I got the other night- isn't it weird how one side of the sky is darker than the other?

My Little Swimmer

I took Lexi and a friend to the pool yesterday, and they had a blast! She (Lexi) used to be a little timid about jumping in, going under, etc, but she's really doing well. We've been practicing in the hot tub :)

They dove for different items, jumped in, kicked around, and just had a great time. She'll be ready for more swim lessons in the fall!

Lexi the Storyteller

Lexi was telling Grandma the "it was so funny" story about something that happened at the sitter's yesterday. I thought she was pretty funny herself :)

Whew- it's Monday!

Well, after an eventful weekend, I'm actually ready for Monday! First, the flu wreaked havoc with my system for almost 2 days... Glad that's over! Then a gutter burst right outside my bedroom window and flooded the basement not once but TWICE!!! It was pouring down rain- so no fireworks this year. But we all survived... and the kittens are a week old today! Pics of them to come soon. Here are some shots I got on Thurs last week. There is an open space behind my office, so I went over lunch to check it out. Hope everyone has a great week!

I snapped a few pics of our new babies yesterday. They are squirmy and squeaky and so cute! I can't wait til they're a little older so we can hold them. Lexi can't wait either...
